Our Mission
Build up and multiply students who are patterned after Jesus, the Christ…
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:12
Core Values
Gospel Driven: Our purpose in being Gospel driven is to boldly proclaim Jesus Christ crucified and how this impacts our lives in every area, even beyond salvation.
Making Disciples: Jesus commanded His disciples to follow in the model set during His earthly ministry: to make disciples capable of making more disciples. We believe that the baton of this mission has been passed on to us today.
Personal Relationships: A key function of our ministry is personal relationships. It has been wisely said that “no one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” We desire to build personal relationships with students for the purpose of helping lead them closer to Christ.
Commissional Delegation: God has gifted every Christian person with gifts and abilities unique to the calling He has placed on their lives. In understanding these gifts, students will be encouraged to seek ways to practically use them both within and outside of the church walls.
Foundational Pillars
Worship: Worship takes place in three primary ways within Cornerstone Student Ministry: Reading/Studying God’s Word, prayer, and music. At all times, the goal for worship is to draw attention to the Lord so that students may come to better know Him personally.
Connection: A primary goal for every student ministry gathering/event is that relationships would be established and built. Leaders have a role in small groups to not only facilitate conversation, but to intentionally get to know their students. Each leader’s primary focus should be to know their students so that no one falls through the cracks.
Missions: Preaching the Gospel to students does not end at their salvation, but is continued in their being sent to bring the Good News to others. A key goal is to provide students opportunities for being trained in presenting the Gospel message so that they are prepared to boldly proclaim the Word of God in their schools, communities, and during local and global missions trips.
